"On behalf of the employees and safety team, we would all like to say a big THANK YOU to you and your team. The recent shutdown was one of our best! The communication between the contractors and plant personnel was extremely well planned and executed. Every morning at 7:15 the contractors, maintenance staff and shift crew leaders met for a short status update on safety issues, progress made on the previous day, and plans for the day. We discussed near misses/good catches from the previous day in detail and took action to correct any hazards identified. A total of 67 hazards were reported; with over half coming from contractors. We were all impressed with the commitment of the contractors to safety and to working as partners to create an accident free week. This was no small undertaking given the volume of work done in close proximity."
