Treaty Park on E. Maes Ave. held its ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday.
It’s part of the Cedars at Kimberly Project the former site of the NewPage paper mill along the Fox River.
The new park invites visitors to “run through the rolls” by interacting with historic artifacts from the paper mill, including grinder and dryer rolls.
CR Meyer had the honor of relocating and mounting the No. 1 Paper Machine 27th Dryer in the new park. CR Meyer originally installed the dryer in front of the former Midtec paper mill during an expansion project in the 1980s.
