Project Scope

To increase battery production, the supply and installation of 7,000 linear feet of various piping was required for the AGM Expansion Project. The types of piping installed included: PVC, CPVC, Alloy 20, and Carbon Steel Piping.

The project scope of work included demolition of the existing pipe, equipment skids, and chillers; building modifications allowing for larger equipment and tank installations; installation of two 150-ton and two 125-ton York chillers, all handrail, grating, and ladders over and around the new equipment and tanks, and pumps, tanks, instruments, and valves. There was rigging of tanks with limited building clearance in an active Acid room.

The quality of work and management helped these start-ups set a new benchmark for the machines. CR Meyer demonstrated their ability to be the general contractor of major installations by quickly resolving any subcontractor trades or billing issues and coordinating multiple disciplines in a limited work space.
