CR Meyer crews completed upgrades of TM2 Tissue Machine to a new AC Drive Motors. The project included: construction of a new electrical room for the drive cabinet line up; installation of a new HVAC system for the electrical room cooling; demo of the old DC motors and bases; demolition of the old electrical drive cabinets; replacement of the Yankee Dryer Gear Box; installation of the new bases and motors; FARO and Laser Alignment of all new motors; and installation of a new electrical system for the drive motors.
The project scope also included the installation of all new drive cabinets, HVAC system, and wiring as pre-work to reduce machine downtime as well as the replacement of a 7,000 lb. Gear Box for Yankee Dryer.
CR Meyer successfully completed six motor replacements including soleplates, during a 7-day Outage, including demolition, installation, check-out, and start-up
